Overview
Assoc. Prof. Veselin Marinov, MD, PhD, was a graduated in medicine in 1997 at the Medical University of Sofia. Earns a Bachelor’s Degree in Surgery in 2003. A Master of Public Administration – Health Management from the University of National and World Economy (2014).
In the period 2005 – 2006 Assoc. Prof. Marinov conducted a one-year specialization in the line of bilateral program between the Ministries of Health of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Federal Republic of Germany at the University Clinics in Essen and Bochum, Germany with the main direction Oncological, transplantation, liver and pancreatic surgery Head Prof. Christophe Broellsch.
He has undergone an intensive care course in patients with liver transplantation in Newcastle, England (2005), a course in laparoscopic treatment of hernias at the Military Medical Academy, Sofia (2010), a Course in Laparoscopic Thyroid Surgery at Santander University Hospital, Spain (2014) laparoscopic surgery for abdominal wall hernias in Bucharest, Romania (2016), Laparoscopic liver surgery courses at University Hospitals in Maribor, Slovenia and Zagreb, Croatia and others.
In 2018, he is certified to operate the Da Vinci Surgical Platform in Strasbourg, France.
Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English and Russian, uses German.
